New Year's Eve in Lake of the Ozarks, MO

Another New Year's with Eric. It never gets old...just more fun! We had lots of food and ate till we were miserable. We played several games including Loaded Questions. If you haven't played this game I suggest playing it with a group of your closest friends to get to know them a little better. My little angel ;)

Scooby just couldn't hang with the big dogs.

Don't ask...

Christmas With Grandma and Grandpa in Fort Worth, TX

Christmas Day we decided to be brave and travel to Texas to spend the weekend. Despite the road conditions we made it in 7 1/2 hours. It usually only takes 6 hours. We had a fantastic Christmas dinner and then opened gifts.Cooper, Remington, and Ethan in their Chritmas outfits.

Cooper received a guitar and amp. We're now looking into lessons since he loves it so much.

Thanks Uncle Frankie and Lacee for the most annoying gift ever! (According to Mommy and Daddy. Cooper loves it of course.)

Remington received lots of books, crayons made perfect for little hands, and a toy truck.

Christmas Morning At Home

A White Christmas!
This year we woke up to a snow covered landscape. It was truely beautiful. The first thing Cooper did was go to the front door to see the snow. Then he wondered into the living room to take a peak under the tree. He smiled when he saw all Santa had left him. He was eager to have a picture taken with every single gift he received. (He's not a ham at all!) We also enjoyed some yummy cinnamon rolls.
Cooper and his new Skyrail Rolercoaster he's going to build.

Santa even left Chester and Wesson some good treats.

Santa was good to Daddy once again.

Cooper made Mommy and Daddy an ornament at school, wrapped it, and placed it under the tree. We love it!

Mommy sportin' Razorbacks!

Christmas Eve At Home

Cooper always gets to open one present on Christmas Eve. This year he received a pair of Sponge Bob Square Pants pajamas. Now I know what you're thinking..."I thought you guys (Willie and Paulette) didn't like Sponge Bob?" We still don't care for Sponge Bob but when shopping we knew these would be the ones Cooper would love. Cooper opens his Christmas Eve pajamas.

Daddy read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to Cooper. Then Mommy read "The Real Christmas Story" to him as well.

Christmas With Nana and Granddad in Branson, MO

Our first Christmas of the year took place at my mom's house. We had so many good treats the family prepared. After eating till we were stuffed, we opened presents. We all got lots of great things but the best was the last gift opened. The box was filled with marshmellow guns! We all grabbed our favorite colors, a handful of marshmellows, and ran outside. For some reason Willie's shooting techniques were a little too "practiced" in my opinion. They hurt! After finishing off a couple bags we headed inside. We soon realized our shoes were covered with marshmellows. The clean up was interesting but the process was priceless. Paulette: Lots of fun jewelry for me to wear.

Willie: Another tool to add to his already overflowing collection.

Cooper: Finally got his new Star Wars sword he's been drooling over.

Mom: Three new books and some cocoa. Yum!

Carl: Some good BBQ tools and treats.

Randall: A new set of dishes for his dorm room. (Maybe he could use these to woo a woman?)

Pamala: A basket full of beauty products. (As if she needs any help being beautiful.)

Finally Putting Up The Tree

Tonight we finally went to get our Christmas tree. I was wanting to do this a week ago, but due to Willie's rigorous college schedule, we couldn't go till this weekend. So we set out for Lowe's in Bella Vista and low and behold, guess how many trees they had? Yep! You guessed it! Around 6 trees were left. So we settled for a nice little "Charlie Brown" tree (that's what I named it anyway). Anyways, it has turned out to be a pretty one, just smaller than I'm used to. Cooper has really been into decorating this year so I didn't have to put hardly any ornaments on. He did most of them. It's been fun so far because he's so animated and creative with decorating. Never a dull moment.

Gingerbread Houses

Today I went to Cooper's classroom to build a gingerbread house with him. We had so much fun. There was lots of goodies and treats to use. Cooper was very creative with his house. He iced the house, made a tree, a front door, walkway and even a fence. Needless to say, we were all hyped up on sugar and loving it!
