Baby Time!

My mother-in-law and I planned a wonderful baby shower for Frankie's (Willie's youngest brother) girlfriend.  Harrison is due to come by the end of December.  Her theme for the baby's room is John Deere.  We had a country style shower with all the goodies!

Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer

Grandma and Grandpa took the entire family to see the play "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer" at the Casa Manana Theatre in Fort Worth, TX.  They bought him a shirt and he immediately put it on.  I'm not sure Cooper knew quite what to expect but was glued to the stage from the very beginning.  He clapped, smiled, and sang.  After the play, he got in line to meet Rudolf.  He got a picture taken with him and even got his autograph.  We had an awesome time!

Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving with Willie's parents.  We traveled down to the big state of Texas for a Texas size meal!  The whole family was there and we had a wonderful time.

Thanksgiving #1

We had our 1st Thanksgiving the Sunday before Thanksgiving with Mom, Carl, Randall The Great, and Pamala.  It was at our house this year so we had to do all the cooking, which we love to do!  Pamala even got her hands a little dirty by making the homemade pumpkin pies and stuffing.  We had a great time!

HOGS Football

If you know the Pattengill's, then you know what we're doing every Saturday...watching the Hogs play football.  This is one of our favorite times of the year.  We wear our Hogs attire, eat lots of wings, and call the Hogs.  Most of the time our friends are enjoying the season with us.  Taos, Candis, Jake, and Jaylene are our close friends who join us in screaming at the television.  The many memories we have with these four close friends are irreplacable.
Wooooooooooo PIG SOOOOOOIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween

This year Cooper wanted to a character from Star Wars.  I know...surprise, surprise, surprise.  He settled on the Obi Wan Kanobi costume.  We went the Flinch's house for a Halloween party and then trick-or-treating after.  The kids go lots of candy and played lots of fun games.  It was great spending time with Kirsten and Madison again.

Pumpkin Patch

We made our anual trip to the pumpkin patch.  Cooper's mission: to find the biggest pumpkin he could and talk mom and dad into paying for it.  We had a great time looking at all the different kinds of pumpkins and taking a hayride through the field.

An Obsession

What started as a fun golf trip, soon turned into an obsession.  The Pattengill's and Jones' hit the golf course with great intentions.  Candis and I completed about 2 holes out of 18.  We enjoyed driving the golf carts and watching Willie and Taos chase their balls.  Candis is a great golf cart driver!  As you can see from the pictures above, we all take the game very seriously.  I'm guessing this is the day Willie and Taos decided to become pro golfers.  Now it seems to be a weekly event.  Candis and I can count on a few hours every weekend to ourselves because the boys have to go hit the holes.

4th of July

We enjoyed the Bella Vista 4th of July Fireworks once again this year. More importantly, it rained...as it always does. It wasn't too bad. Just some sprinkles. Cooper had a great time seeing Madison and Kirsten. He was pretending he was creating the fireworks for Kirsten with his magic. Already putting on the moves at the age of 6.

Cooper's First Canoeing Trip

Our friends Taos, Candis, Jaylene, and Jake talked us into going canoeing with them. Taos and Candis graciously allowed us to use their canoe since they were using their kayaks. We were slightly nervous about taking Cooper but we also knew he was a fish and loved the water. We left early at 7am and headed to the Illinois River right outside of Siloam Springs. The trip proved to be a fantastic way to spend a Saturday. The temperature was just above 90 degrees. Although it was hot, there was a beautiful breeze. The 10 mile journey was long. There were many stops along the way to swim and enjoy the cool water. Candis devoted her trip to cleaning up the river and gathered about 2 trash bags full of trash. Jake and Jaylene only flipped their canoe twice with no permanent damages to any of the limbs. Cooper enjoyed squirting his water gun and admiring the wildlife. Especially the cows. When we reached our destination (also referred to as deliverance, we were anxious to see if Willie's truck still had all its parts) we swam and then went home. Everyone was burnt to the crisp except for the Pattengill family who used SPF 50 sunscreen and applied every hour. Since our trip was so successful and loads of fun, we're now contemplating buying a canoe and making this a part of our lives.

University of Arkansas 2008

Today I went with a few of my girlfriends (also graduates 2008) to take pictures of our names on the sidewalk. Every year UofA stamps its graduates names in the sidewalks of the campus. One day while Willie was walking to class he "stumbled" apon my name in front of the Engineering building. Ironic huh? Anyways, I called my girlfriends and we made a day of it.

Graduation Party

Willie's parents threw us an awesome graduation party. In May, Willie graduated from NWACC with an Associates of Science degree and I graduated from ASU with a Masters of Educational Practice and Theory degree. College is not easy, especially when you have a family. But with the support of our friends and family, we're accomplishing our goals. Thank you to all who attended...

Thirsty Thursday

Eric was in town so we decided to go to a Natural's game and boy did we have fun! I don't even remember if they won or not. The ballpark for women is more of a social scene. Maybe if you ask one of the boys they'll know who won.
Lovin Life!
Devon and Cooper entertaining themselves.

Group picture with the strang colored people walking around. Devon loved them!
