This year Coop decided he didn't want a homemade costume. He only wanted to be Iron Man and he wanted to buy it at the store. So we did. We went to the Flinch's house for a Halloween party. The kids bobbed for apples and decorated treat bags. Willie smoked two boston butts and brought the homemade bbq sauce. Yummy! After dinner, everyone got dressed and we headed to our usual neighborhood in Rogers to trick-or-treat. It was fun and we had a large group of kids. The biggest we've ever had, 13. The kids ran from door to door and the parents frantically tried to keep up. It got interesting when we approached a house where a black figure was sitting and smoke was rising in front of him. The kids were cautious but still ended up getting their candy. When we started to leave, the man brought out a chain saw and started it up. He began to chase the kids around the driveway. Cooper ran to me, grabbed my leg, and smiled. He thought it was funny. Kirsten was the only child who was scarred for life. After filling our goody bags and Coop using the restroom on a stranger's well groomed lawn, we headed back to the Flinch's. The kids all got a pumpkin and drew faces while Erik cut them all out. The night was successful and exciting. I just love when memories are made!

School Halloween Parade and Party
Cooper had his first Halloween Parade and Party at Anderson Elementary. Every year the Chamber of Commerce asks all the business owners to allow the students to walk to the downtown area and trick-or-treat. The businesses set up outside of their stores and have lots of candy to give out. The local police department shuts down the roads and even sets up their own station for the kiddos. Everyone dresses up and the students seem to really enjoy it. Cooper was joined by Eric this year. I'm sure Eric received his fair share of kids and chaos that day. Thanks Eric! We know you made Coop's day extra special.

1st Grade Card

We had our first parent/teacher conference for Coop on Monday. It went well. Academically he is where he needs to be. He did have trouble with identifying his colors due to his color blindness but that's about it. Of course he is a typical boy with lots of energy. His teacher says he's eager to learn but sometimes disturbs others or enjoys break dancing on the floor. OUR COOPER? Naaaaaa.... He's our angel;)

Coop's Reading
Coop has started reading and is doing an amazing job. We love to sit with him and let him read to us. It's a nice change. He also enjoys it which is a definite plus.

Fast Lanes
One of our new, fun places we love to go is called Fast Lanes. It is an entertainment place that has bowling, games, go carts, and much more. We decided to introduce our new found love to Eric who willingly took on the challenge. We had lots of fun and made many memories.
Coop loves to bowl and not bad at it. He tries to use the same form as the adults. So cute!
